Karl Wilson
Health and Safety Consultant After leaving the Army serving over 10 years, Karl trained as an Appointed Person, lifting supervisor and slinger in lifting operations moving into CPCS training and testing. From there he completed his NEBOSH and worked for McCarthy Stone where he was the northern Division safety advisor for Northern England and Scotland. Finally moving into more senior positions working on commercial buildings at companies like GMI and Galliford Try.
Notable achievements- helping rebuild GMI’s health and safety management systems and rolling out biometric systems, mentoring graduates and trainee health and safety professionals who are still working in the industry today and becoming a father to two fantastic daughters.
Outside of the H&S business, Karl tortures himself following Manchester United, and attempts to keep up with his 4 year old’s new interests and evolving to suit!
